Webcam Project

Through NSWP, ASWA was able to provide webcams to its members in 24 countries in Africa to help them document cases of violence, which have been on the rise since the outbreak of COVID-19, and also organise virtual online meetings. This also supported the improvement of documentation of ASWA members’ work.

A webcam is a camera that connects to a computer. It captures either still pictures or motion video, and with the aid of software, can transmit its video on the Internet in real-time.

The Use of Webcams is to document and collect data during the COVID-19 pandemic. The organisations nominated someone who would be in charge of the web camera and who get tutorials on how to use it and train others.
